This is a short personal graphical story that takes you on a journey through the life of an individual that overcame obstacles surrounding the revolutionary invention of the cochlear implant. The cochlear implant is a surgically implanted device that enables deaf people to be able to hear again. While the cochlear implant does have its complications medically, socially and mentally, it has also brought positive aspects of life.
