Our Mission

Kepler's Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching underpriviledged children about Astronomy.

We believe that every child should have the right to an education; especially with regards to the amazing universe around us.

Unfortunately, some of today's youth don't have access to these resources, may it be because of a deficiency of familial funds for education, a flawed or lacking regard of education because of familial influence, or a number of other reasons.

Through our classes, we hope to inspire young minds to reach for the stars, so to speak, in every aspect of their lives.

Our programs promote a sense of comradery and friendship that goes along with stargazing with likeminded individuals and peers.

Kepler's Kids is named after Johannes Kepler, a German mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer.

Kepler is a key figure in the 17th-century scientific revolution. He is best known for his laws of planetary motion, based on his works Astronomia nova, Harmonices Mundi, and Epitome of Copernican Astronomy. These works also provided one of the foundations for Isaac Newton's theory of universal gravitation.

With such an important figure in Astronomy, it's only natural to name our organization after him.
