The Parthenon Marbles Recoded: The Phantom as Other by Warren Neidich was made through different programs to be viewed by and to interact with using VR-Brain Computer Headsets and Eye Tracking Software. The art piece will change based on data received from the headset and the eye tracker on what the viewer is looking at/most interested in. It's also a physical art piece that was made using neon lights, this version is shown above. A depiction of the VR version is shown below. What I really like about this art piece is that there are many different approaches to viewing and interacting with it. You can just admire all of the different colors and words at the neon installation, which is a lot in itself, and you can also see the art piece using VR and watching how the program interacts with your eye movements. |
