Here at Noddascam, Inc. we consider your privacy with all due respect and attention. We realize that some of the information we ask for could be considered fairly confidential, and that you may wish to be discreet about such tidbits as your Social Security Number. We are equally aware that you may wish us to use caution on all the information we collect from you that you perhaps did not personally share with us (for more on that, feel free to check our Terms and Conditions, but it’s really no big deal). Basically, we already have and will continue to acquire a considerable deal ofinformation about you, and it’s not surprising that you may feel some slight concern over our potential usage of it.

However, we here at Noddascam, Inc. are also acutely aware that we are living in a new and digital age. Let’s face facts: your information is already going around the internet every which way. Numerous companies, probably with far fewer morals than Noddascam, have undoubtedly snagged data from your internet browsing and social media. And these companies are equally likely to be sharing this information with persons of interest left and right, from potential employers to jilted ex-partners.

This is the reality in which we live. It could be considered sad, but who are we to stand in the way of progress? If privacy is dead (and we at Noddascam, Inc. believe it truly is), then the “sanctity” of your personal information is irrelevant. Laughable, even.

This does not mean Noddascam, Inc. is necessarily going to take part in the chaotic and frankly disrespectful sharing of your personal data, however. Not only is there no dignity or finesse in taking part in the circus of widely circulating your information, it makes little economic sense. If a piece of personal information is common knowledge, it’s no longer “personal”, is it? And that means it is no longer valuable. Noddascam, Inc. is a for-profit business, and you can rest assured that we would never take part in activities that make no sense for our bottom line.

If you’ve actually read this far, what this basically means is that we are very selective in how we share your data. If all or most of your personal information is already widely known, then congratulations, Noddascam, Inc. will not take part in the dissemination and distribution of your information. Though as this does not change the fairly unfortunate situation you would already be in (You let your Social Security Number get out? Seriously?), perhaps congratulations are not in order.

If, on the other hand, we collect information from you that is not common knowledge, and is thus valuable, we reserve the right to share that with whatever parties we want for whatever profits we desire. You may take solace in the fact that as the number of people who know a piece of information rises, its selling price falls. Therefore, Noddascam, Inc. will generally only sell data to a limited and select number of parties.
