Combat - It is tricky!
Combat is a huge part of D&D. With all of the dice to roll and numbers to add, new players may find combat a little tricky.Combat is a physical encounter (using weapons and/or spells) between players and enemies. Combat is divided into rounds and turns. During a round, each participant takes a turn (able to take one or more actions).
The order of turns is determined at the beginning of a combat encounter, when everyone rolls initiative. Once everyone has taken a turn, the fight continues to the next round until the fight is over.
Below are the basic steps of combat:
